Book is an important tool for those who wish to start or enhance their
study of charango.
My special thanks to the National Endowment for the Arts of the National
Culture Secretariat, which sponsored my work and enabled me to complete
this Charango Method.

Rolando has
been a friend of mine for many years. He is a musician fully committed
to Argentine social reality, which -as I see it- is very important when
doing an artistic work; be it a disc, a book, a movie, a painting, or
a sculpture.
The book
you now have in your hands is his Charango Method. The charango
bearing a dry and deep timbre is original and highly representative of
the Argentine North-West region, Bolivia, Peru, and Chile.
The Method
is easy to learn, due to the way it is written. Easy to read, it has an
agile reading. It is clear and has a reading and a teaching methodology
with silences. Music silences, as all good songs and regions represented
by this instrument have.
With huaynos,
bailecitos, cuecas, zambas, chacareras, yaravíes, takiraris, k'halampeados,
tangos, and other rhythms, this Charango Method is an artistic
and educational work by an author who, as I said at the beginning, is
a restless fighter for just causes.
